Travel System

Travel System

In addition to mounts, the server offers two other separate methods of travel: the railroad and teleportation.

A train can carry you across a huge number of blocks at a relatively low price without consuming valuable TP Scrolls. Teleportation is instant, but it is a limited resource and is best saved for emergencies, returning to your Land, or meeting other players.

For exploration, trade, and regular travel between cities, Lands, and nations, always check whether a railroad route is available first.

Railroad

The railroad connects stations with physical tracks through the world. It does not teleport you: after you purchase a ticket, the system creates a passenger minecart, seats you automatically, and carries you to the selected station.

Why Use the Railroad?

  • You can cross very large distances at a low price.
  • You do not consume TP Scrolls.
  • The exact distance, route name, and total price are shown before purchase.
  • The minecart follows the track and stops at the destination automatically.
  • Ticket revenue supports the Lands and nations whose infrastructure you use.
  • Stations and railroad routes may be displayed on the server's Live Map.

How to Travel by Train

  1. Approach a station or a section of railroad track.
  2. Right-click the station or rail.
  3. Select your desired station in the Travel Tickets menu.
  4. Check the route name, distance, and ticket price.
  5. Click the destination to purchase your ticket.
  6. A minecart will appear and seat you automatically.
  7. Remain in the minecart until it stops at the destination station.

The menu only displays stations connected by a complete and open track. If your desired station is not shown, there is currently no valid route to it from your location.

Note: To place your own minecart normally, hold it in your hand and use Shift + right-click. This bypasses the ticket menu.

Ticket Price

The standard fare is 1 currency unit ($) per 10 blocks of track. The price increases gradually with distance, allowing even journeys of several thousand blocks to remain affordable.

The total price is calculated separately for every section of the route:

  • a track owner may set a local fare from $0 to $400 per 10 blocks;
  • each owner receives payment for the blocks traveled across their tracks;
  • unowned sections of track are free;
  • the final price is always displayed before purchase;
  • a ticket will not be purchased if you do not have enough money.

Two routes of the same length may have different prices when their owners use different fares.

During the Journey

The route name and destination are displayed on your screen. The minecart maintains speed on straight sections, slows down for curves and slopes, and stops automatically at the destination.

Do not leave before reaching the station. Exiting early ends the journey and removes the passenger minecart. The minecart belongs to the player who purchased the ticket, so another player cannot take their place.

Unavailable Stations and Broken Routes

A station or journey may be unavailable when:

  • the stations are not connected by a complete track;
  • an owner has closed their section of the route;
  • a track or station has been removed;
  • you do not have enough money;
  • an embargo prevents travel across tracks owned by a particular Land or nation.

If an embargo blocks your journey, you must use another route or wait for the political relationship to change.

Benefits for Nations, Lands, and Railroad Builders

The railroad is more than passenger transport. A well-positioned network can become an important economic and political system for an entire nation.

Direct Ticket Revenue

When a passenger purchases a ticket, the price is divided according to the sections of track used by the route. Payment for each charged section is deposited directly to its owner, meaning the corresponding Land or Nation.

The more useful a route is and the more players travel on it, the greater its potential for recurring income. A long main line connecting major cities can generate revenue every time somebody uses it.

Important: Revenue belongs to the registered Land or Nation that owns the track. An individual builder does not automatically receive money in their personal account unless the track is registered to them through the appropriate system or the nation creates its own wage or revenue-sharing agreement with the builder.

Fare Control

Owners may set a local fare from 0 to 400 currency units ($) per 10 blocks. This enables several strategies:

  • a low fare attracts more passengers, traders, and visitors;
  • a free railroad can serve as public infrastructure for members and allies;
  • a higher fare can earn more per journey on an important or unique route;
  • a nation can connect distant territories without relying on expensive teleportation.

Trade and Settlement Growth

A station brings players directly to a city or Land. This increases traffic around player shops and other facilities. A settlement connected to the main railroad network becomes easier to reach for new members, customers, and allies.

Owners can construct railroad hubs and interchange stations. The more useful destinations they connect, the more likely passengers are to use their infrastructure.

Political and Strategic Value

A station owner may open or close their section of a route. Embargoes may also prevent hostile nations from using particular tracks. Control of an important bridge, tunnel, or railroad junction can therefore carry diplomatic and strategic value.

Nations may construct public routes for allies, charge for international lines, or deny access to enemies. However, excessive fares or frequently closed routes may encourage travelers to build or use a competing line.

Protecting the Investment

A protected wilderness railroad must be built on gravel and affiliated with a Land or Nation. Protected rails and their supporting blocks cannot be broken without the required rights.

Infrastructure and decoration around rails without Land or Nation affiliation remain unprotected and do not represent dependable national infrastructure.

Construction Subsidy

The owner of a Land with at least 3 members can collect a railroad subsidy at the Bank.

The subsidy grants 64 rails. Another subsidy becomes available after 24 hours, but the Land must first place every rail from its previous subsidy. Any member of that Land may help place them.

This reduces the initial cost of network development and rewards Lands that actually use the granted resources for construction.

Station Management

An authorized owner uses Shift + right-click on the station and may:

  • change the local fare;
  • reset the fare to the server default;
  • rename the station;
  • open or close their section of the route.

Teleportation

Teleportation is a fast alternative for emergencies, returning home, or traveling to another player. It consumes limited TP Scrolls, making the railroad more economical for regular and very long journeys.

TP Scroll

A physical TP Scroll must first be activated so its teleport charge is stored on your account:

  • Right-click with a TP Scroll to activate 1 scroll.
  • Shift + right-click to activate the complete stack of TP Scrolls.

Activated TP Scrolls are stored on your account and do not occupy inventory space. A TP Scroll is permanently consumed only after a successful teleport.

Crafting TP Scrolls at the Scribe

Find Scribe Griblik at Spawn and open his workshop. One order produces 2 TP Scrolls and requires:

  • 1 Compass;
  • 1 Ender Pearl;
  • 10 Paper;
  • 10 Diamonds;
  • 32 XP Bottles.

Production takes 15 minutes. Materials are removed immediately, and the completed order is collected by speaking to the scribe again. You may have up to 3 active orders.

Inviting a Player to You

/tpahere <player>

This asks another player to teleport to you. The traveling player pays 2 TP Scrolls. If you want to visit someone, ask that player to invite you with this command.

Use /tpyes to accept or /tpno to deny a request. Requests expire after 60 seconds.

Homes

Command Action
/home or /homes Opens the homes menu
/home set <name> Saves your current location
/home <name> Teleports you to the home for free
/home delete <name> Deletes the home for 2 TP Scrolls

Land Spawn

/lands spawn <land> [area]

Teleporting to a Land or area spawn costs 1 TP Scroll.

Teleportation Rules

Every teleport has a 5-second warm-up. During this time, do not move, change worlds, enter a vehicle, or use other commands. Looking around does not cancel the teleport.

Incoming damage is blocked, but an attempted hit cancels the warm-up. A successful teleport starts a 1-minute cooldown for that teleport type.
